South Paris Barbara M Haines 78 of South Paris passed away peacefully at her home on Monday February 10,2020.
She was born on January 15,1942 in Portland the daughter of Edward Woodcock and Hazel Morton. She grew up in Buxton and attended schools there.
She married Frederick Haines on June 23, 1973.She was a hard worker and a loving wife and mother.She worked at Cornwalls, Paris Manufacturing, and CB Cummings to support her family.
She had many hobbies. She did scrapbooking, and crafts of all kinds. She loved her puzzle books and collecting pens. She loved fishing, camping, planting flowers, collecting rocks, and watching her birds at the bird feeders.
Her greatest passion and lifelong mission however was helping others. She was the cofounder of The Community Angel food pantry, and she had her own blog on Facebook called The Face Of Hope. Despite her physical limitations she remained very much involved in helping her community.
She is survived by her daughter Melinda Taylor and Husband Donald, of South Paris,Her son Richard Berry of Lewiston, her favorite auntie Victoria Crockett, Two brothers Dan Swain, and Roland Swain. Three sisters Rebecca Philbrick, Linda Maskell, and Theresa Batchelder. She is predeceased by her husband Fred.
She will be remembered most for her love of life. Her laughter was contagious and that beautiful smile just lit up a room. To know her was to love her. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held 1 pm Saturday, February 22nd at the Deering Community Center, South Paris.
